About Kathy

_DSC0005WHO: I was born in Louisville, KY, in the decade that introduced avocado green and some of the greatest movies ever made.

WHAT: I enjoy writing human interest stories, arts reviews, low-tech health articles, fiction, bad poetry, and the occasional dirty limerick. I aim for funny and/or moving, smart, educational, and concise.

WHERE: I’ve lived in the South most of my life–Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi–which I consider an anomaly to most of my chakras. I moved to Bellingham, WA, in 2013. Om.

WHEN: I’ve been writing ever since I defaced my mom’s jewelry box with indelible ink and gibberish.

WHY: Writing has been a fickle friend to me. It’s pushed me into puddles and pulled me from the pits of despair. It’s my best form of expression, other than rolling my eyes, and the only means I have to comprehend and articulate the inexpressible.

HOW: Duh.
